The birds find some meals in the water. This one is waiting on a meal or perhaps a mate to come by.
Sometimes their best meal comes from the catch of a surf fishing fisherman they are shadowing. They wait patiently for handouts. Sometimes they get tangled in the fishing line.
Some even steal their meal from the bait bucket of a fisherman that is focused on his fishing or other interest.
